Kamal Gupta founded Sentient Revolution in 2009 to architect software to automate complex controls, data acquisition, and data analysis. Leveraging 25+ years of experience developing LabVIEW software for test systems and new products, he enjoys bringing his expertise, robust designs, mentoring skills, and understanding of business needs directly to clients in a variety of industries.
He has led and mentored software development teams for machines costing tens of millions of dollars and his software is used in manufacturing plants in Asia and North America to test millions of components every year. Kamal’s experience spans a range of industries including Automotive, Aerospace, Medical Devices, Hydraulic Equipment, Heavy Equipment, and Electrical Power.
Kamal is passionate about efficient software design, mentoring, and high-quality results. A natural-born programmer, he first taught himself to program at age 9 and took his first college-level programming class at age 12. Kamal holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
With over 25 years of experience developing LabVIEW software, 18 of those years as either a consultant or integrator, Kamal has logged well over 20,000 hours writing software in LabVIEW. Over the years, Kamal has taught 20+ National Instruments classes to hundreds of students.
Kamal lives in Milwaukee, WI, with his wife and son. When he isn’t helping clients, Kamal enjoys hiking, biking with his family, and training in Taekwondo.
