We developed prototype software to augment a physician’s situational awareness during a cardiac ablation procedure. Responsible for the GUI, data acquisition, data analysis, and machine control. Utilizing live EKG data, the system determines if the patient’s heart is entering a state indicative of needing to stop the procedure and will automatically stop the procedure if the physician does not do so. Prototype enabled the customer to present demos to potential buyers and receive funding to fully develop the product.
